Welcome to Congregation B'nai Sholom-Beth David

Welcome to Congregation B'nai Sholom-Beth David.   Our congregation represents the recently merged congregations of Temple B'nai Sholom of Rockville Centre and Congregation Beth David of Lynbrook.   The Plan for Merger was entered into in August 2010, and officially approved on March 4, 2011 - Shabbat Across America.  The B'nai Sholom-Beth David home will be at Temple B'nai Sholom located at 100 Hempstead Avenue in Rockville Centre.  Each temple's history can be found on a separate page on this website.  

Since our founding more than a century ago, we have been dedicated to the spirit and aims of Conservative Judaism. As we strive to maintain our Jewish identity in an ever-changing world, we are aware of the need for change and development within the all-important framework of Jewish tradition. Women as well as men participate in all aspects of religious life at our synagogue.

Throughout the years, we have fostered in each of our members a special camaraderie and feeling of great pride in our Jewish heritage. The love and respect for our Congregation is evidenced by the many families who have been members of our synagogue for more than three generations.
